Carolyn attended Western Michigan University for both her Bachelors in Health Care Administration and her Masters in Medicine. Carolyn has worked in Emergency Medicine, College Health, Pediatrics and Family Medicine. Family Medicine is Carolyn's calling, and her passion is driven by the bonds she builds with patients and the enjoyment she gets in keeping them healthy. Whether preventive or chronic care, Carolyn strives to help her patients achieve and maintain their health goals.
In addition to over 23 years of experience in clinical practice, she has taught at Yale University, University of New England and Kaplan Medical. Carolyn also loves clinical teaching and continues to work as an instructor for physician assistant and nurse practitioner students.
Carolyn was born and raised in the Detroit area, but spent most summers in the Upper Peninsula with her family. She and her husband, Ethan, spent time in North Carolina and Maine before returning to Michigan in 2017. Carolyn enjoys being outdoors in all seasons, but expecially loves summer kayaking and winter hiking. She and Ethan are both animal lovers and have welcomed many elderly Golden and Labrador retrievers into their lives over the years.
