Well Child Visits

Well-child visits are a time when parents can check up on their child's health and make sure they're growing and developing normally. Well-child visits usually start a few days after children are born and continue until they turn 18.

What is considered a Well Child visit?

Choices for your child's care include your primary care physician (family practice doctor), or a pediatrician.

At this exam, the health care provider will check the child's growth and development in order to find or prevent problems. The provider will record your child's height, weight, and other important information. Hearing, vision, and other screening tests will be part of some visits.

Please take the following information with you to your appointment.
Any medical records you may have, including screenings and shots you’ve had in the past year.
Your family health history.
A list of all prescriptions, over-the-counter medicines, vitamins and supplements you take.
A list of all your doctors.
Please bring your photo ID and insurance card to each appointment.
