What care should be taken in diabetes?

Know what to do everyday.

1. Take your medicines for diabetes even when you feel good.
2. Check your feet every day for cuts, blisters, red spots and swelling.
3. Brush your teeth and floss every day to keep your mouth, teeth, and gums healthy.
4. Stop smoking.
5. Keep track of your blood sugar.
Please take the following information with you to your appointment.
Any medical records you may have, including screenings and shots you’ve had in the past year.
Your family health history.
A list of all prescriptions, over-the-counter medicines, vitamins and supplements you take.
A list of all your doctors.
Please bring your photo ID and insurance card to each appointment.
