Dr. Samuel Minor attended Michigan State University for both his undergraduate and Medical Degree, with which he graduated in 1991. He completed his 3-year residency in Family Medicine through the Saginaw Branch of Michigan State University college of Human Medicine. He was subsequently employed in Rochester Minnesota in a community multispecialty group practice from 1994-1996. He then relocated to the Petoskey area and has worked in Family Medicine in the area since. Dr. Minor was also active inpatient staff at the hospital in Petoskey until 2018.

Dr. Minor suffered a personal injury from a skiing accident which resulted in an above the knee amputation in 2018. Since overcoming that adversity, Dr. Minor has since returned to practicing Family Medicine. Dr. Minor enjoys many aspects of patient care, but he especially enjoys encouraging patients to improve their own health through their actions. He believes the foundation of Family Medicine is the complete and thorough care of the entire individual.

Dr. Minor continues to have an active lifestyle enjoying his various hobbies which include downhill skiing, mountain biking, and kayaking. He resides in Boyne City with his wife Terri and their two sons who both graduated from Boyne City High School.
