In the sports medicine field, the sports physical exam is known as a preparticipation physical examination (PPE). The exam helps determine whether it's safe for you to participate in a certain sport.


What does a sports physical consist of?

Physical Examination

We take a blood pressure and pulse (heart rate and rhythm) test your vision. check your heart, lungs, abdomen, ears, nose, and throat. evaluate your posture, joints, strength, and flexibility.

 

Please take the following information with you to your appointment.
Any medical records you may have, including screenings and shots you’ve had in the past year.
Your family health history.
A list of all prescriptions, over-the-counter medicines, vitamins and supplements you take.
A list of all your doctors.
Please bring your photo ID and insurance card to each appointment.
